The Grundig M400 is an

ultra compact portable

radio that covers the AM

(520-1710 kHz), FM (87-

108 MHz) and short-

wave in two bands: 5.9-

10 and 11.65-18 MHz.

The M400 features an

analog circuit with digital

display and has easy-to-

use controls. The fre-

quency display is to the

nearest 1 kHz on AM and

to 5 kHz on shortwave.

There is a built-in clock-

alarm. The right side of

the radio has the tuning

knob and a lock button to prevent accidental

frequency changes. The earphone jack is on the

top. An amazingly thin radio ... under ½ inch! The

built in 4 ohm speaker is 40mm wide. The collaps-

ible telescopic whip is for the FM and shortwave

bands, and does not need to be extended for AM

band reception. This radio operates from two AAA

cells (not included). Supplied with earbuds and an

elegant soft case that permits the radio to be

played even while inserted. 2.75 x 4.33 x 0.472

tion of 50 years of Satellit models. This latest

version delivers the great radio reception and

audio quality you have come to expect from Grun-

dig and Eton radios. The radio provides full recep-

tion of longwave, medium wave [AM band], short-

wave and FM broadcast (with RDS). Additionally,

it covers the civil VHF aeronautical band. 700

memories store your favorite stations. The dual

conversion design provides great sensitivity and

image rejection. The Sync Detector feature im-

proves the radio's sound quality by reducing dis-

tortion and fading. The Local-DX switch allows you

to adjust the sensitivity of the radio. A rich orange

display indicates your exact frequency and signal

strength. There is a built-in clock timer feature.

There is an earphone jack for private listening as

well as a Line Input jack to connect an external

audio source. Supplied with carry pouch and AC

coverage from 1.7 to 30 MHz. There is a built in

digital clock timer. This radio features RDS - Radio

Data System that enables FM broadcasters to

deliver more than just an analog audio signal, but

also to transmit digital data, like the station’s call

letters, style of music, song title, artist and more.

It can even display the temperature. Plus, its wide/

narrow bandwidth selection improves audio fidel-

ity and minimizes noise. The AM band can display

in 9 or 10 kHz increments. There is a Local/DX

switch and battery status icon. Display brightness

may be set to Low, Medium or High. Antenna jacks

26.1 MHz. The medium wave (AM) step may be

set for 9 or 10 kHz. With local and world time

settings, radio and buzzer alarm clock settings,

sleep timer and snooze light, the Etón Traveler III

keeps you on time … in any time zone. It even

displays the temperature to help you prepare for

the day. The time zone selection knob is located

under a protective cover. The display brightness

wave. Utilizing dual-conversion superheterodyne

circuit design, it's powered by six D cells (not

included) for exceptionally long play-time. It re-

ceives all shortwave frequencies, continuous

from 1.7 to 30 MHz, covering all 13 international

shortwave broadcast bands. Get news and

events from around the world and superior recep-

tion of your favorite domestic AM and FM stations.

The built-in sleep timer automatically turns the

radio off after 90, 60, 45, 30, 15, 10, 5 or 1 minutes.

A wide/narrow bandwidth switch can reduce adja-

cent channel interference. The main tuning knob

may be set to fast tuning, slow tuning or lock. A

new

Quick Tune

button allows you to quickly tune

across the selected band. Independent Bass and

Treble tone controls are featured. Other features

include RF Gain, 50 memories (10 per band), IF

Output Jack, 12/24 hour clock, dual alarms, 9/10

kHz AM step, padded carry handle, DX/Local

sensitivity and External/Internal antenna

switches, battery level icon, and selection of mono

or stereo FM (stereo FM to earphone jack only).

The rear panel has an F type antenna jack for

external SW/FM antenna and there is a spring

loaded terminal for MW antenna and Ground.

There is a built in telescopic antenna for FM and

shortwave plus a built in ferrite bar antenna for

medium wave [AM]. There are jacks for line level

output and line level input, plus a conventional

earphone jack. The key light illuminates the dial

and

the push button keys on the front panel.

Includes 9 VDC AC adapter. Also operates from
