The Kaito KA11 covers AM, FM and shortwave

from 5.8 to 18.1 MHz. It has a backlit LCD digital

display with clock timer, keypad frequency entry

and 1000 nonvolatile memories. The left panel

has a Local/DX switch and mini external SW/FM

antenna jack. The right panel has DC input and

earphone jacks. There is a built in 12/24 hour

clock-timer with adjustable sleep timer (1 to 99

minutes). The AM band tuning step may be set for

9 or 10 kHz. There is a switch for FM stereo or

mono. There is a mini external antenna jack for

FM/SW. Comes with: AC adapter, stereo ear

buds, wrist strap and soft wire antenna. Requires

The Kaito KA600

Voyager Pro

has features you

need in an emergency situation. Reception in-

cludes AM, FM, NOAA weather and shortwave

band from 2.3 to 23 MHz. The weather band has an

alert feature. There are 6 ways to power this radio:

1. Dynamo cranking: 120 turns per minute of

cranking will power the built in NiMH battery pack.

2. Solar panel under the direct sunlight.

3. Three AA batteries (not included)

4. A built-in rechargeable battery pack.

5. Optional AC adaptor charge from the mini jack.

6. Charge from a computer via USB port.

The dynamo power source features a high quality

AC type brushless generator. The solar panel

powers the radio by itself and charges the built-in

batteries as well. To maximize the sunlight’s rays,

the solar panel is designed to tilt with the sun's

position to receive the energy during the day. On

the bottom side of the solar panel is a five LED

reading lamp that you can use in poorly lit condi-

tions. The radio even has an integrated keypad

and multifunction LED flashlight. It has a USB jack

that can connect to many standard USB enabled

devices such as your iPod or cell phone. This lets

you charge many cell phone models by cranking

The Kaito KA1102 is a dual conversion portable

radio covering AM, shortwave and FM. AM cover-

age is from 522-1710 kHz (1/9/10 kHz steps) and

shortwave coverage is 3000-29990 kHz in 1/5 kHz

steps. Single side band (SSB) mode is available

on shortwave with fine tuning. 190 memories are

available in 10 banks of 19 presets each. A keypad

allows direct frequency entry. Auto scan and auto

memory is supported. A built in clock has 3 alarms

and wakes you to beeper or radio. The large,

attractive LCD is backlit and it features a signal

strength indicator. There is a DX-Local sensitivity

switch. Additionally there is a two position tone

switch. There is also a button that selects Wide-

Narrow selectivity (or Mono-Stereo while on the

FM band). Other refinements include: battery

power indicator, lock and sleep. There is an exter-

nal antenna jack and a stereo earphone jack. This

radio comes with three AA Ni-MH rechargeable

batteries and an AC adapter. The AC adapter not

only works as a DC power source, but it also

charges the batteries automatically. With wrist

strap, protective carry pouch and stereo earbuds.

A manual and guide sheet are also included. One

The Kaito KA008 is a self sufficient digital radio

covering AM, FM and four SW bands: 4.0- 9.0,

9.0-14, 14-19 and 19-26.1 MHz. The KA008 has a

built in hand generator and solar cell array for

internally recharging 3 NiMH AA cells

adapter. This radio has a built-in emergency LED

ICF-SW7600GR

The Sony ICF-SW7600GR is a compact, dual

conversion, microprocessor-controlled, fre-

quency synthesized general coverage portable

receiver. Direct access tuning is provided along

with a multifunction LCD digital readout for unsur-

passed convenience and accuracy (1 kHz step

tuning on longwave, medium wave and short-

wave). Just press the numbered keys to match

the frequency you want to hear. Manual tuning

and automatic scan tuning plus memory scanning

are provided. 100 memories are featured for your

favorite stations. These memories are nonvolatile

and therefore will not be lost during the changing

of batteries. The ICF-SW7600GR tunes from 150

to 29999 kHz for solid coverage of longwave,

medium wave and shortwave. Smooth Single

Sideband (SSB) and Morse code reception is

available through a switch with separate LSB and

USB positions plus fine tuning thumb-wheel. A

special Synchronous Detector circuit reduces

fading and annoying "beat" frequency interfer-

ence from adjacent stations as well as distortion

due to fading shortwave reception. FM stereo

(87.6-108 MHz in 50 kHz steps) is provided to the

mini stereo headphone jack. A record output jack

is included for taping off the air. Advanced fea-

tures include: dial light, continuously variable

attenuator, 9/10 kHz MW step, "Tune" indicator,

keypad lock, 1/5 kHz step tuning, flip-stand, tone

switch and external antenna jack. There is also a

Sleep function which can be set for 15, 30, 45 or

60 minutes. The side-lit dial light will illuminate the

LCD green for 15 seconds when the dial light

switch is pressed. This radio has a 24 hour digital

quartz clock with dual timer. You can set the radio

audio to come on with Timer A and Timer B. The

current time is displayed when the radio is off. To

view the time while the radio is on simply press the

[EXE] key. The time will then display automati-

cally for 9 seconds.
